As a first mover, SPORT1 wanted to implement the first sports event in the metaverse. To this end, it used the World Darts Championship as a high-reach event and created a digital extension.

On three event days, it was "Game on" in the virtual SPORT1 Ally Pally in Decentraland. Users were offered a new way of consuming sports, exclusive content and the chance to take part in the digital darts competition. The main prize: 2 tickets for the World Cup final in London.
