Web3 is the name for an idea and vision of a decentralized online ecosystem and represents a further evolutionary stage of the Internet. The basis for Web3 is blockchain technology, as it is used for cryptocurrencies, for example.
The use of blockchain technology and the possibility of decentralized data storage are intended to create a democratic Internet designed and managed by users. This concept represents a paradigm shift. No longer dominate the few large platforms, but is distributed among many independent computers.
In the talk, we would like to discuss: is this a bubble or a long-term trend, how must publishers & brands position themselves now, and what are the advantages and disadvantages of this technology.
